It is important to distiguish the difference between results and activities. We can control the activities which we complete each week. However, we can not control the results. Too many of us are so worried about the results, we don't do the activities. Now, the law of life tells us if we plant a certain number of seeds, we will reap a harvest. If we can just have some faith in this law of the universe, we can get busy doing what we can control: sharing the business, selling the events and marketing the products. The results will be lots of money and prosperiety for you and your teams. Lets get busy this summer setting up accountability or fast track teams and let's make dreams come true. There has never been a better time to make it happen. Please see the fast track forms on the front page of the web site, www.pamandjimlee.com, and start a go now accountability team or fast track team today. Call if you need some advice or input on organizing or join a team!!

Now is the time for each of us to have reviewed our business foundations. Ask yourself if you are really serious about building your business this year. Are you? If the answer is yes, then I encourage each of you to consider how much building this business resembles a cake recipe. Baking a cake requires a list of ingredient, each of which are significant to a great cake. If we left any of the ingredients out, the cake probably would not have been great and may not have turned out at all. Market America's Unfranchise Business Plan has a list of ingredients. Many of us try to short cut the business plan by leaving off the items on the recipe that are not in our comfort zone or may require skill development. We still want the final result to be a success. I know if I offered any one of you $1000 at the end of each week in which you completed the weekly checklist, there isn't a single person who wouldn't complete it with zeal and enthusiasm. Revisit your committment to your future and the future of your families. Dig hard and do what ever it takes to complete you checklist and lets make this the best year for everyone. Lets make your dreams come true!

Market America is, sometimes I think, to simple. We want to make Market America more complicated than it has to be. There has GOT to be something more to it than using and sharing the products, sharing the business with folks and attending and supporting the trainings. It's the last of those three results producing activity's that I'd like to address.
Every successful Unfranchise owner knows the power of the event. In fact, one of the secrets of this business is that you can measure your business by the amount of business (new & old) partners that are attending the events with you. That brings us to TICKETS.
We have all heard "get your three tickets" to the next event. Doing this confirms your leadership and belief in your own business. People follow those who lead by example. Often times we get questions as to "why three tickets?" First of all, one of those tickets is for you, the other two tickets are for folks that you don't know yet. One new partner for each side of your business. Hello, it's called growth! Don't buy tickets for existing partners, they should be getting their own tickets. Secondly, the purchase of tickets shows that not only do you believe in Market America, you also believe in yourself and your ability to lead your teams.
So, the question begs. If your not getting your three tickets to the next event, WHO'S FOOLING WHO ?

Said Winter to Summer...
There is an old Bohemian proverb:
"The time will come when Winter will ask us: What were you doing all the Summer--"
2010 is hear. In our ten years as Unfranchise owners we have never seen a better time to build than right now. Market America has put in place the most powerful programs to help us average folks really create lasting, ongoing residual income. The portal has made it easier than ever to create new customers. We can never say that it's to hard to share the business. Just look at all the tools to help us show just how powerful this business is. Jim Ridinger, the founder of this business is going out on tour to help us all build our businesses by doing a series of UBP'S in many different cities. Hey, he is not charging for his services, he's doing this
FOR US!
So, it's up to us. Start from the fact that there are only really two things we can control in our life. Our own attitude and the number of times we bring this Unfranchise Business up to other folks. If we all focus this next year on prospecting and NOT recruiting, we will all be recruited-a lot. People are hungry for what we have to offer, both to improve their health and their finances. We'll all look back on 2010 and realize that the whole year was a "summer". Looking for a focus for your teams goals? Try this one on:
"Twenty/Ten"
Twenty new customers/Ten new partners
Make this your goal, help your partners realize this goal and none of us will ever have to answer to the "Winter"

Adversity ???
Ours is a challenging business with absolutely no limits and many incredibly exciting setbacks. We all have to be more willing to face our own challenges and those of our partners in order for all of us to succeed. I believe the very best in us comes through when we are facing and overcoming the adversity we all face on a daily basis. We all become better leaders, and more valuable to our teams, when we help those around us overcome their challenges.
Maybe you have a fear of three way phone calls. After all, that phone does weigh a couple of tons, doesn't it? Perhaps your fear is of what other people think of you. Honestly, what other folks think of us is really none of our business. Could be your fear is of losing what you already have in your life. We just have to understand the tighter we hold on, the more we miss out on other opportunities and these "other opportunities" more often than not enhance what we already have. Setting goals is a big fear for many. The simple fact is if you don't set goals for yourself, your family and your business you'll be leveraged by someone else who is setting goals. Ok, I hear you, "I'm afraid of losing time". Sweet Mother !!! If you really commit the 8 to 15 hours per week to your business, in a short time you'll have all the "time" to go and do whatever you want to do with who ever you want to do it with for the rest of your life.Whatever adversity you and your team are facing, there is no profit from shrinking from that adversity. "But Jim, How do I overcome all the garbage?"
1, Face up to it. Prioritize the challenges and attack them. To overcome adversity you have to face it head on.
2, Realize that doing nothing is the biggest risk you can take. Do something! You can't break your business.
3, Follow up and follow through. Mass action from yourself will cause mass action from your partners. Leaders Lead !!
4, Prove dependability, doesn't matter if your a senior or junior partner. Be accessible.
5, Leverage your senior partners. They are your best assets to help edify you and the business as a whole.
If we don't face the adversity in our life, mediocrity is guaranteed.

Don't think for one minute that I'm going to go and get all biblical on you today.
Pam keeps a Bible by the bed and I see her read a little of it most every night. I don't know why... by putting up with me I'm sure her place in heaven is waiting for her. She chews on me once in awhile about looking over the "good book". Pam has been traveling to see her folks so the other night I picked it up and with it in my left hand I let my left thumb run off a whole bunch of pages. You know what I'm talking about, just a random page. I closed my eyes and let my right fore finger pick the verse. Luke 4:24
"No prophet is accepted in his hometown"
Now, to me, there can only be one meaning to this. The Bible is telling us, clearly telling us that we all should be doing more three way phone calls. Your probably thinking right about now that "Pam's been gone to long and Jim's losing it". Your both right and wrong, Pam has been gone to long and I "LOST IT" along time ago. But think about it.
How many times have you showed the business, explained the products, talked about the portal, shared the services all to no avail? You flat know what your talking about in all the previous examples but, people just don't seem to move forward with you. We are all missing the leverage that comes from 3-way calls. Don't underestimate the power of the voice from afar. Your business partners can be and are your very best source of support, story and edification. It blows me away when one of my business partners calls me to talk about their last showing and that prospect was cold, to say the least. We get that prospect on the line and we listen and somehow they move forward towards more information. It's not what I'm saying, I know that I'm just an echo of whats already been said. It's just that voice from afar that's telling the prospect that they are really in the right house and working with the right team. Sometimes I think that the prospect is just looking to know that you are not alone, that you do in fact have a whole team of business partners to leverage. So, look up 3-way scripts(there are lots of them out there), contact your senior partners and get some coaching. Practice the calls at your coring.
So, Like ole Luke says, "DO MORE 3-WAY PHONE CALLS !!!!!!!!!!!!"
Dare To Be Great !
